At least one day a week I will be sharing Positive Change, Positive Leadership and Positive Coaching news from other sources.
This weeks share is a link to the hrdive.com website and a new post by Lindsey Godwin, academic director at the David L. Cooperrider Center for Appreciative Inquiry at the Robert P. Stiller School of Business at Champlain College.
Lindsey Godwin goes through a quick case study on how sending out a survey to find out why morale was low resulted in even lower morale – a deficit focus just made things worse.
“If leaders want to create organizations that are much more than merely just “not broken,” but rather are thriving, they need to shift their approach to change. Change is not about simply identifying and eliminating the bad — it is about discovering and dreaming about the possible.”
